Automating Reporting Processes with Snowflake

Objective:

To speed up the reporting process and reduce the time spent extracting and cleaning data,

Methodology:

The previous reporting process took over 4 hours for just one data export! So I began experimenting with SQL software/programs like Heidi SQL, Postgre SQL, and Snowflake to identify which tool had the fastest run time.

Snowflake had the most efficient run time as it’s a cloud-based system. With this in mind, I created over 40 different queries to help export data and automate reporting.

Results:

Reporting time was significantly reduced, leaving the team more time to develop stronger insights.
